![]() ![]() Has worked it’s life in Charleville on a Cattle Station since purchased New from Winchcombe Carson Ltd Brisbane Queensland. The motor is currently missing its cylinder, head and other bolt on bits although the seller thinks he may still have them somewhere and is going to try and find them for me. It is mounted on a steel wheeled transporter and still has its original fuel tank, plus a water tank. He bought it many years ago from a friend of his who has since passed away, and he didn't know its history aside from that. I have just bough this engine from a gentleman at Cambooya, Qld. Then used for lights at our property "Boiling Springs" until mains power was hooked up Spa, Qld Then used to charge batteries at Cooktown Motors. ![]() Was used at Sovereign Hotel, Cooktown QLD until mains power was hooked up. It was running when last started about 8 years ago but is in need of TLC Was found in the Okavango Delta and brought to this location Maun Botswana. In 2019 I purchased the engine and brought it back to Brisbane, since then the engine has been mechanically restored and shown at local rally's.Ī beautifully preserved example on its original transporter as sold by Dangar Gedge of Sydney in 1932. If I can find some pics in our archive of the system dis-assembled I will post them later.This engine was originally supplied to Mitchell & Co of Victoria on 1-7-1932 from where it was shipped to Tasmania. and thirdly check that there is not excessive wear on the rocker shaft or incorrect valve clearance ever of these will stop the decompressor from working properly. Secondly with the crankcase door removed check that you dont have a flat worn on the top of the pin as this will effectively stop it working. firstly check that the button does fully push in (back of button should pretty much touch the nut behind it and with the rocker cover off you should also see the valve move (making sure the valve isnt already opened by the cam.). To check all the possibilities as to why it isnt working. when you push the button in the single pin on the inside pushes under the tappet which in turn lifts the valve. As previously mentioned, the buttons on the side are not adjustable, the button assembly is held in with three bolts but is located on a register so one location fit only. ![]()
